Course Chat

Course Chat is a floating assistant that follows you around the app, scoped to whichever workspace you were last studying in. You don’t have to be inside that workspace to use it.

How to open it

  1. Click the sparkle Course Chat button in the sidebar footer, or the bubble that follows you around the app.
  2. The panel opens on the right, resizable and expandable to fullscreen.

Good to know

The panel has four tabs:

  • Chat: ask questions about the active course; it can look up recent activity, upcoming deadlines, and your other courses.
  • Course: a profile view of the workspace’s key facts.
  • Knowledge Base: every indexed file in the workspace with its status, so you can see what the AI can actually draw from.
  • History: past Course Chat conversations for this workspace.

If you don’t have an active course yet, the panel prompts you to run Course Setup instead of starting a normal chat.

If it doesn’t work

Course Chat button doesn’t appear: it only shows once you’ve opened at least one workspace; Studycamp needs a “last workspace” to scope the chat to.

Answers seem to ignore a file you just uploaded: check the Knowledge Base tab. If the file isn’t marked Ready yet, see File Indexing.
