How it works
Every AI generation (a chat reply, a summary, a quiz, a flashcard deck) spends credits from a monthly allowance. Credits reset on the anniversary of your sign-up date. If a generation fails partway through, the credits it would have cost are refunded automatically.

Good to know
- Deep research, transcription and podcasts are Pro only. Free doesn’t get a discounted rate for these, it can’t run them at all. Clicking one as a Free user opens the upgrade prompt instead of charging you.
- Live Lecture uses minutes, not credits. The live transcript and notes are included. Free gets 60 minutes a month, and they reset with your credits. Silent stretches don’t count.
- Pro Student gets a one-time 10,000-credit boost you can claim once per billing period from the billing page, on top of the monthly 100,000.
- Exam Booster is not a subscription. It’s a 60-day pass with its own 150,000-credit allowance. When it expires, your account reverts to Free automatically.
- Free’s 1,500 credits a month is enough for regular studying (roughly 30 chat messages, or a handful of summaries and quizzes). If you’re heading into finals and need more without committing to a subscription, see Billing & Payments for the Exam Booster add-on.
If it doesn’t work
“Not enough credits” when generating something: you’ve used your monthly allowance. Wait for the reset date shown on the billing page, claim the Pro boost if you’re on Pro, or buy an Exam Booster.
A generation failed and credits didn’t come back: refunds are automatic but not instant. Check your balance again after a minute; if it’s still short, contact support from /camp/settings.
