Voice Recorder
Record a lecture at /camp/voice-recorder and Studycamp turns it into a transcript you can study from once you stop. Want the transcript and notes while the lecture is still going? Use Live Lecture.
How to use it
- Go to /camp/voice-recorder and hit record.
- Stop when the lecture ends. The recording is transcribed automatically.
- From the transcript, generate a summary, build flashcards, or extract tasks.
What you should see
A transcript of the recording, with AI-generated notes you can turn into a summary or flashcards.
Good to know
- Transcription: converts the recording to text when you stop. For text as you go, use Live Lecture.
- Summarization: turns a transcript into lecture notes.
- Task extraction: pulls out action items your professor mentioned, like assignments or due dates.
- Flashcards from audio: build a deck straight from what was said.
- Recording also shows as a live pill in the sidebar so you can navigate away without losing it.
- Live lectures show up in this list too, marked Lecture. Clicking one opens it in Live Lecture.
Limits and costs
Generating AI notes from a recording costs 300 credits.
If it doesn’t work
Transcript has large gaps: background noise or a quiet speaker hurts accuracy; record closer to the source if possible.
