Prepare Study Materials

Instead of opening a study session and generating each tool by hand, you can ask Studycamp to prepare a summary and quiz as soon as a file finishes indexing.

What you need

A file that has already finished indexing. Prepare can’t run on a file with no indexed content.

How to use it

1. After uploading a file, click Prepare Study Materials when prompted (it’s opt-in, not automatic).
2. Optionally include flashcards in the same run.
3. Wait for the job to finish in the background; you can keep using Studycamp while it runs.

What you should see

A ready summary and its matching exam-derived quiz waiting in the study session next time you open the file, plus a flashcard deck if you opted in.

Good to know

• After a Live Lecture, Make summary, quiz and flashcards runs this same job on the lecture in one tap.
• This is a background job, it doesn’t block you from doing other things while it runs.
• If the job fails partway, the credits it would have spent are refunded automatically.

Limits and costs

300 credits for the summary, plus 500 more if you opt into flashcards.

If it doesn’t work

Prepare option doesn’t appear after upload: it only shows once the file has indexed content; check its status in File Indexing.
