Deep Research

Pro Student feature. Deep Research goes beyond your uploaded files and searches the live internet to answer questions with sources.

What you need

A Pro Student or Exam Booster plan. Free accounts see a crown icon on this tab and get an upgrade prompt instead of a charge.

How to use it

1. Open a study session and select Deep Research.
2. Ask a question that needs more than your workspace files.
3. Watch the named research steps stream in as the AI searches, reads, and synthesizes.
4. Optionally include or exclude specific domains to steer where it looks, or point it at a specific link or storage file.

What you should see

A synthesized answer with inline citations that link back to the actual source pages it read.

Good to know

• Live web access: pulls current information, not just what you’ve uploaded.
• Guided research: feed it specific links or files from your storage to focus the search.
• Auto-titled sessions: a research thread gets a title generated from your question automatically.

Limits and costs

2,000 credits per research run. This is the most expensive single action in Studycamp, reserve it for questions your files genuinely can’t answer.

If it doesn’t work

Research stalls partway through a step: web search can be slow on broad questions; narrow the question or add a domain filter and try again.
