Syllabus Extraction
Upload a syllabus to a workspace and Studycamp proposes a set of tasks and dates from it, without touching your real to-do list or calendar until you say so.
How it works
- Upload a syllabus file to a workspace.
- The first time you open that workspace afterward, a first-run prompt appears with the tasks and dates Studycamp found.
- Review the list.
- Click Approve to actually create the tasks and calendar entries, or dismiss the prompt to skip it.
What you should see
If you approve, the proposed items appear in To-do and Calendar for that workspace. If you dismiss, nothing changes.
Good to know
- Extraction only ever stages a proposal. Nothing hits your real tasks or calendar until you explicitly approve.
- You can dismiss the prompt without deleting the syllabus file itself.
Limits and costs
Extracting a syllabus costs 300 credits, charged once when the extraction runs (not again on approve or dismiss).
If it doesn’t work
The first-run prompt never appears: it only triggers on the first workspace visit after upload. If you missed it, re-upload the syllabus or check with support.
Dates look wrong: the extraction reads dates as written in the syllabus; if the source document uses relative dates (“Week 3”), review and fix them before approving.
